Despite the fact that operating a cooperative without registration is a punishable offense under the existing cooperative law in the country, some people are operating cooperative societies in Louhajang Upazila without registration. The process of taking action against such cooperative societies is underway. 5 such societies have been identified from the Upazila and if anyone is aware of any other such societies, it has been requested to inform the cooperative officer.
